while living in Los Angeles—specifically Long Beach, a true mecca for secondhand culture—I was immersed in a world where vintage was not only abundant but celebrated. With limited funds, constant moves, and tastes that outpaced our budgets, my friends and I turned to thrift shops. We spent countless hours combing racks, furnishing apartments, and in the process, each of us cultivated a distinct sense of style rooted in individuality and resourcefulness.
